The Problem Within The Bottle

As quoted fantastically in the book Bottled and Sold THE STORY BEHIND
OUR OBSESSIONWITH BOTTLED WATER about how many water bottles are produced, used and thrown away, “Think about where you are right now. How far away is…safe water? Probably not very far. Yet every second… a thousand people buy and open up a plastic bottle of commercially produced water, ... Eighty-five million bottles a day…”(Gleick 6). Still why does it really matter? It really does matter because of the fact most, if actually not all bottled water can be bad for you. The water bottles are usually made from harmful chemicals and our favorite tap water. To add to the danger is the lack of knowledge on this subject and how high powered organizations have no control in the matter and how this trend seems to just be growing and growing year after year. So we will be investigating the so called safety of our beloved water bottles.
To start the investigation we will look at what water bottles are made from. Water bottles are made from polyethylene terephthalate also called PET for short is a fiber that is easily used to create plastic containers such as “PET's ability to contain carbon dioxide (carbonation) makes it ideal for use in carbonated soft drink bottles…PET is also used to make bottles for water, juice, sports drinks, beer, mouthwash, catsup, and salad dressing. It can also be found on your food jars for peanut butter, jam, jelly, and pickles as well as in microwavable food trays.” (medicinenet.com 2). With its varying uses it might sound astonishing to think that it could be bad for people to drink from or use. The highly believed opinion that soda is already bad for people might be a reason to stop drinking sodas but the water is surely healthy for people to drink. Ya right like the companies are actually putting spring water in every bottle they sell to us an are not hiding anything from us. Well actually the water you are drinking is actually tap water from most water bottle brands.
What really can be that harmful in tap water and the polyethylene terephthalate? The tap water alone contains traces of nitrate, ammonia, heavy metals, and minerals including arsenic and radioactive isotopes. When also looking at the top 10 water bottle brands they are just as bad as most city tap water in the poorest of areas as well as a favorite brand of the 10 top sellers having high rates of cancer-causing chlorination in it. To think that’s only the tap waters influence on how healthy it is. The PET chemical influences are that of obesity, lower sperm count, and testosterone levels. And as the bottles are reused more and more chemicals are released into the water making them even more dangerous each time they are used as compared to when we first started using them. Amazing how the side effects of drinking can give you cancer and yet no one seems to even know about it at all.
People would assume that the government or the FDA would stop bad water from being sold on the market. The FDA actually has labeled most brands of water bottles safe to drink, therefore allowing for people to drink it without knowing the danger of the contents and the bottle. The government also can’t control water bottles that re produced in the same state they are sold in.in fact few states even have laws to help protect their citizens from the chemicals like water in the state. The EPA seems to be a harder branched division of caring for people’s safety, “the U.S. EPA website clearly provides and describes the lack of quality assurance for bottled water: “Bottled water is not necessarily safer than your tap water.”( Evita Ochel, 1). So then if the EPA also known as the Environmental Protective Agency has stated that the bottles are not as safe as we were lead to believe then some might just want to ask why people still use and drink from these bottles everywhere they look  left and right?
People keep drinking from water bottles because there is a false premonition that they are safe for us to drink from whenever we all get thirsty, just like Evita Ochel stated clearly in her article” the majority of people out there today who drink bottled water are under the false assumption that bottled water is safer, better and/or healthier for them than tap water.”(Ochel 1).  And so with all this unawareness going around mothers still give children water bottles and juice containers to drink from, even joggers and other sportsmen carry water bottles with them as they run or play their sport and yet very few every decide to question the water or the bottles safety.  Most of the bottle companies themselves help the unawareness by telling people the water they sell is pure and yet it is usual old tap water that they fill the bottles with and people believing so. As it can be seen from charts in Bottled and Sold THE STORY BEHIND OUR OBSESSIONWITH BOTTLED WATER the number of water bottles sold are increased year round as more and more people buy into the scheme of buying regular tap water. Even with some awareness out there the sources are not trusted as the try to warn of us of the danger, “It may be difficult to trust environmental advocacy groups, but the GAO expressed many of the same concerns about bottled water. With the lack of reporting mandated by the EPA, decreased standards, and insufficient regulatory measures, standards may be no better — and potentially worse — than tap water… nearly half of the U.S. population served by tap water systems gets legally allowable, but from a health standpoint potentially significant, levels of contaminants such as cancer-causing trihalomethanes, radon, and/or arsenic in their tap water." Bottled water does not appear to inherently reduce this risk.”(Stephens 1). So the ever looming secret of the water bottle industries stays hidden as time goes by.
To bring this investigation of water bottle safety to an end we can clearly see that we have all been lied to and our precious water bottles are not so friendly as we thought they were. We can see how millions of people are unaware of the dangers in water bottles even in other countries around the world as well. We have useless government agencies do nothing to protect us, with some that have no power to. And then there’s the bottles and there rich polyethylene terephthalate and amazingly wonderful tap water just sit there and hold up there toxins for us to drink as they smile with their evil grin.

Song Reveiw 2: Belle of the Boulevard

Belle of The Boulevard
by: Dashboard confessional

Meaning
The song is about a girl who is a belle, which is basically a term for a beautiful girl, and she is wanting a real relationship with a guy. So she goes to a local bar where someone is playing a guitar and apparently they are playing just what she needs as it is saving her from going down, and then it goes back to when she was vulnerable and she was willing give her self up to a guy just this once and then its over as so many one night stands really are over in the blink of an eye. Then she is singing a song which is saving her from continually falling further down and then she takes a drink to build up her courage and then its all over once again. but in the end as shes back out in the local bar that guitar player is saving her as the last chorus say's
Don't turn away
Let me dry your eyes, dry you eyes
Don't be afraid
Or Keep it all inside, all inside
When you fall apart
Dry your eyes, dry your eyes
Life is always hard
For the Belle of the Boulevard
from the chorus i see it as maybe Christ saying hey don't turn away from me with all your failure and all your faults just let me dry your eyes now, don't be afraid or keep it all inside so let it out and dry your eyes because life is always hard for the belle of the boulevard.

Beat & Stuff
The beat of this song is great it it goes from slow to medium to fast to medium to fast and such to end with a kinda slow and upbeat ending to it. The band shows great strength in being able to slide through each phase of the song with great blends and transitions.

Lyrics
Down in a local bar
Out on the boulevard
The sound of an old guitar
Is saving you from sinking
It's a long way down
It's a long way

Back like you never broke
You tell a dirty joke
He touches your leg and thinks he's getting close
For now you let him just this once
Just for now
And just like that - it's over

[Chorus:]
Don't turn away
Dry your eyes, dry your eyes
Don't be afraid
Or, Keep it all inside, all inside
When you fall apart
Dry your eyes, dry your eyes
Life is always hard for the belle of the boulevard

In all your silver rings
And all your silken things
That song you softly sing - is keeping you from breaking
It's a long way down
It's a long way
Back here you never loved
You shake the shivers off
You take a drink to get your courage up
Can you believe it
Just this once
Just for now
And just like that
It's over

[Chorus]

Please hold on - it's alright
Please hold on - it's alright
Please hold on

Down in a local bar
Out on the boulevard
The sound of an old guitar
Is saving you

[Regular Chorus]

Don't turn away
Let me dry your eyes, dry you eyes
Don't be afraid
Or Keep it all inside, all inside
When you fall apart
Dry your eyes, dry your eyes
Life is always hard
For the Belle of the Boulevard

 Rating+~
Overall Rating: 4/5

 Lyrics:
4.5/5
Lyrics had a great story to them that flowed very well through the song.

Music:
3.5/5
Music was great with all the upbeat and downbeat parts but as im a harsher judge on the music usually it could have done more to impress me but never the less still good.

Pros:
Song is great and has great lyrics and is pretty captivating with stellar lyrics and great music.

Cons:
The lyrics in the chorus can be interpreted as either one of three things (Oh, Or, or But) this one lyric can really change the meaning and or views of the song but is kinda cool for people to decide for them selves which they like until the artist tells us which one it really is.

Don't Tip your Pizza Driver.

Heck no. You want me to give you a tip? All you did was get in your car drive lets say 5 miles here and back to the store only getting paid half of minimum wage, and you probably run into 2-3 other customers just like me in the short little 3-4 hour workday you have and yet you are wanting me to give you a TIP?
Okay no ones really like that in real life i mean come on people are so much nicer and TV shows are only dramatized. Well actually the shows are dramatized but when you hurt some ones feelings they them selves dramatize it and in the reality they live in it does feel like that enough to make people seriously depressed and seriously hurt and yes as Taylor Swift did say that when some one is hurt they often find ways to hurt some else back. But you know what we should stop that we need to rise up as a generation of people who are what Jesus command us to be loving our neighbors and enemy's so the cycle will end right now. We should learn to love since love is a verb and not just a feeling and if we could learn to be loving the world would be a better place. Also remember that class is just a state of current being and just cuz you may have more money then others it makes you no better then anyone else if anything it makes it harder for you to go to heaven or at least realize the need for Jesus in your life as Jesus said it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle then a rich person to enter into the gates of heaven. So hey don't be a d*&% and be nice to everyone cause there is no room for jerks in the world plus we have lawyers and unintentional bad drivers for that. To conclude this shorter then normal blog BE NICE TO EVERYONE YOU MEET NO MATTER IF THEY ARE A JERK OR NOT o and also learn the difference between love and like see video link for more details. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Iv62bxFTW0

Americain Dream Esay

Fast car, lovey/sexy spouse, rich house, obedient smart athletic kids, and let’s face it a pet of some sort, usually a dog; these are the things that make up most of the American Dream, mostly being financial success. But in today’s world as different as it is from 50 years ago, let’s face it even 10 years ago, is it still even achievable to be financially successful with our own hard work. What a great question that is to ask or ponder. I mean most of our grandparents think they have found the dream they so longed and worked for for so long, but is there dream even the same as it was those many decades ago with no major changes to it? Maybe this dream is dead or only certain people with certain back grounds can make it all the way to the end of their dream. What even defines what makes the dream achievable whether it is today or back then?
Hmm what even defines financial success? Obviously having money seems to say “o hey look at me I’m wealthy and set”. But does having a lot of money really mean you have reached success, I mean it could be there one day and gone the next as it most often seems to be happening in our government. So really it is what is possibly standing against the American Dream. Well yes our government being poor does make us most likely poor as well. With all of the debt the country owes to china in money could we as the citizens therefore be responsible to pay for it. If we are to pay for the debt then surly we won’t be able to achieve financial success until that’s paid off, making generations of people who won’t be able to achieve our own country’s beloved dream, no matter how much hard work they do. Well in this case it looks like the dream isn’t as reachable today as we might think.
Then again as we age we gain wisdom; our grandparents seem to be happy and joyful as they have aged with more and more wisdom coming as they do. Well if they can’t achieve the dream of financial success why are they so joyful? Wait maybe because the way they see financial success is different from just having tons of money but yet being stable with money to support them, kind of like those Christians in the world who don’t care about the money but the ability to provide for their family and live life with joy. Well if the dream is just being stable with finances then maybe it is achievable as many families find ways to be stable with finances and provide for the family. But wait not everyone can be financially stable in society.
Some people just can’t be financial stable. Then can only certain people be successful and achieve the long wanted dream; as many smaller ethnic groups and minorities can’t find jobs that pay them enough or just find a job in general to meet their basic need while more  families of the majority can find jobs . As it is said though those who work hard succeed, so then maybe only those who work the hardest can achieve the dream, and those who don’t can’t. Being of a certain gender can even relate to how much financial stability we have as most men are easily able to make more money but women seem to be able to get by with less money in their pocket. Even our age adds into how stable we are, as most college students are completely broke, while their parents and grandparents seem to be doing okay with money. So maybe the dream is only achievable at certain ages and for those certain people.
As well to consider is if you ask some people the definition of financial success the definition they give even makes the American Dream achievable or not so much. I mean come on if your dream is success in how much stuff you have with how much money you make as stated back towards the beginning, then the chances of you fulfilling the American Dream is pretty unlikely today with all the foreclosed homes and so. Type b people who consider the dream to be more like financial stability or the ability to provide then hey by far the requirements and likelihood of achieving the American Dream is more likely to happen, and it is also more joyful if you consider it in this way I would say. That would be my definition though so for those like me it is achievable but for those type a people it doesn’t look so; therefore our definition will describe how achievable the great dream is.
In conclusion of all the thoughts and factors of the American Dream make predicting it all the way impossible but certainly achievable. Those who work and work to their bloods content and beyond as well those type b people then it will be achievable. Unfortunately all the type a people and maybe those people of a certain ethnicity or of a particular gender may not be able to achieve it as much at all. One thing is certain though, the American Dream will always be around for those who by chance stumble into the grace and favor of a higher power then they will ever even know.

Dead Hearts♪♫♪By Stars

Okay so some of you may not have herd of this song but its called Dead Hearts.
Meaning
The song is a conversation between a guy and a girl about what she saw and how he knows all about it as she says they were kids that she once knew and he goes on to say he could tell her about them but he says she wouldn't believe him and goes on to say that they its hard to know that they are out there, It's hard to know that you still care, dead hearts are everywhere! Dead hearts are everywhere!. This gives a really good view of like the loss of innocence as if they were to be looking back in time and seeing the kids they were of yesterday and how they have changed and how they miss the old day with old friends and faces which now have dead hearts as some probably moved away, some joined a new group of people and no longer are friends but they have all changed and now their hearts are dead. Another way to picture the song is how after salvation as we are filled with a new life and our lives start again with a new heart that's alive with the light of another world and as we look back at those we use to hang out with or know we see that as we change they become different like kids we once knew and how we see that the world is filled with people with dead hearts
Beat & Stuff
This song is a little bit of a slower pace and they focus on a kinda more relaxed and feeling atmosphere up into the first chorus where it picks up just a tad and then slows back down at the 2nd verse and then goes back to a little bit of a faster pace.
Lyrics
Tell me everything that happened, Tell me everything you saw. They had lights inside their eyes... They had lights inside their eyes... Did you see the closing window, Did you hear the slamming door? They moved forward and my heart died... They moved forward and my heart died... Please, please tell me what they looked like, Did they seem afraid of you? They were kids that I once knew... They were kids that I once knew...
I can say it, but you won't you believe me. You say you do, but you don't deceive me. It's hard to know they're out there, It's hard to know that you still care. I can say it, but you won't you believe me. You say you do, but you don't deceive me. Dead hearts are everywhere! Dead hearts are everywhere!
Did you touch them, did you hold them? Did they follow you to town? They make me feel I'm falling down... They make me feel I'm falling down... Was there one you saw too clearly, Did they seem too real to you? They were kids that I once knew... They were kids that I once knew...
I can say it, but you won't you believe me. You say you do, but you don't deceive me. It's hard to know they're out there, It's hard to know that you still care. I can say it, but you won't you believe me. You say you do, but you don't deceive me. Dead hearts are everywhere! Dead hearts are everywhere!
They were kids that I once knew... They were kids that I once knew... Now they're all dead hearts to you... Now they're all dead hearts to you... They were kids that I once knew... They were kids that I once knew... Now they're all dead hearts to you...

Music♪&♫Praise

Okay my lovely people check out this blog every other Monday to see reviews on random songs from Disney s Pocahontas to Kelly Clarkson to Chris Tomlin to who knows what.
So like have you heard the newest (insert some random favorite artist of your choice cause it don't really matter to me)'s song. Or, How about the new band on the block today, O wait how about the newest album to come out in a week that i so got on pre-order. Well ya that pretty much sounds like most people when they talk about music but you know something people tend to forget that music is made FOR EVERYONE TO LISTEN TO, not that you have to listen to every song like the newest Pitbull song i mean i am not really a pitbull fan. but hey you know what i am a guy and i like Kelly Clarkson and Taylor Swift does that make me weird less human or gay just because i listen to their music? Well okay maybe weird, but hey whose not weird? One of the best ways Ive ever herd music describe is from the movie August Rush "You know what music is? God's little reminder that there's something else besides us in this universe, a harmonic connection between all living beings, every where, even the stars." yes that's right its a harmonic connection between all (ALL) living things and some songs really speak to people so its connecting with them so their is nothing wrong with people listening to Kelly Clarkson or Taylor Swift. Why well if you still have not got the point music is genderless and it also seems to be timeless as it has been around since the beginning of everything. to make it better it is even race less as even whales sing in the ocean much like the people we hear singing in the showers in the morning wanting them to stop so we can sleep. But you know God told us even if we were not to sing to god rocks would sing praises to him so music is even beyond life its self. Pretty snazzy i must say but even cooler is how we should all praise god with everything we have sending out a joyful sound to him much like the Link Below so enjoy it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LU6kMtkV9Fc , and there we go amazing wasn't that yes i do think so my self. so why then if everything else is praising why aren't you praising i mean no sin should stop you and no desires of the flesh should come between the act of praise. So i want to encourage you to praise god in all that happens both good and bad, fast and slow, new and old. Also don't judge people by what they are listening to but by what they are personifying out of their mouths as you remember music is a transgenderal, rocking way of connecting everything together especially with praise to god.
