Americain Dream Esay

Fast car, lovey/sexy spouse, rich house, obedient smart athletic kids, and let’s face it a pet of some sort, usually a dog; these are the things that make up most of the American Dream, mostly being financial success. But in today’s world as different as it is from 50 years ago, let’s face it even 10 years ago, is it still even achievable to be financially successful with our own hard work. What a great question that is to ask or ponder. I mean most of our grandparents think they have found the dream they so longed and worked for for so long, but is there dream even the same as it was those many decades ago with no major changes to it? Maybe this dream is dead or only certain people with certain back grounds can make it all the way to the end of their dream. What even defines what makes the dream achievable whether it is today or back then?
Hmm what even defines financial success? Obviously having money seems to say “o hey look at me I’m wealthy and set”. But does having a lot of money really mean you have reached success, I mean it could be there one day and gone the next as it most often seems to be happening in our government. So really it is what is possibly standing against the American Dream. Well yes our government being poor does make us most likely poor as well. With all of the debt the country owes to china in money could we as the citizens therefore be responsible to pay for it. If we are to pay for the debt then surly we won’t be able to achieve financial success until that’s paid off, making generations of people who won’t be able to achieve our own country’s beloved dream, no matter how much hard work they do. Well in this case it looks like the dream isn’t as reachable today as we might think.
Then again as we age we gain wisdom; our grandparents seem to be happy and joyful as they have aged with more and more wisdom coming as they do. Well if they can’t achieve the dream of financial success why are they so joyful? Wait maybe because the way they see financial success is different from just having tons of money but yet being stable with money to support them, kind of like those Christians in the world who don’t care about the money but the ability to provide for their family and live life with joy. Well if the dream is just being stable with finances then maybe it is achievable as many families find ways to be stable with finances and provide for the family. But wait not everyone can be financially stable in society.
Some people just can’t be financial stable. Then can only certain people be successful and achieve the long wanted dream; as many smaller ethnic groups and minorities can’t find jobs that pay them enough or just find a job in general to meet their basic need while more  families of the majority can find jobs . As it is said though those who work hard succeed, so then maybe only those who work the hardest can achieve the dream, and those who don’t can’t. Being of a certain gender can even relate to how much financial stability we have as most men are easily able to make more money but women seem to be able to get by with less money in their pocket. Even our age adds into how stable we are, as most college students are completely broke, while their parents and grandparents seem to be doing okay with money. So maybe the dream is only achievable at certain ages and for those certain people.
As well to consider is if you ask some people the definition of financial success the definition they give even makes the American Dream achievable or not so much. I mean come on if your dream is success in how much stuff you have with how much money you make as stated back towards the beginning, then the chances of you fulfilling the American Dream is pretty unlikely today with all the foreclosed homes and so. Type b people who consider the dream to be more like financial stability or the ability to provide then hey by far the requirements and likelihood of achieving the American Dream is more likely to happen, and it is also more joyful if you consider it in this way I would say. That would be my definition though so for those like me it is achievable but for those type a people it doesn’t look so; therefore our definition will describe how achievable the great dream is.
In conclusion of all the thoughts and factors of the American Dream make predicting it all the way impossible but certainly achievable. Those who work and work to their bloods content and beyond as well those type b people then it will be achievable. Unfortunately all the type a people and maybe those people of a certain ethnicity or of a particular gender may not be able to achieve it as much at all. One thing is certain though, the American Dream will always be around for those who by chance stumble into the grace and favor of a higher power then they will ever even know.
