To Have My Own Bed
You know one of our most underestimated places on earth is the same place we experience some of our loneliest moments, most peaceful moments, receive good and bad news, laugh with friends and family, as well as experience some of the most exhilarating and scariest moments; it's the place we lay our heads down at. That's right our beds are underestimated. I mean i enjoy sleeping in various places from a couch to a hammock outside in the breeze but their is still nothing like sleeping in your own bed i mean come on after so long the mattress takes a shape of how we sleep allowing us to feel the most relaxed when we sleep in it. I mean beds totally rock but you now we forget all about it we forget how on that bad day when our heart mind and soul feel like they are falling apart we usually go to our beds cry and feel that unstated sense of security in the moment and hope for the chance to stop time and those days were we are completely exhausted and feel passing out we get to our beds and pow we plop down and drift off in a record 5 milliseconds, or when we just wake up and decide hey it a do nothing kinda day were i am just going to lie in bed all day and do nothing (including with our spouses for those of you who are married), and when we leave this life we hope to do it a more natural way like going in our sleep in our own bed. Well ya now that you think about it do you think o hey there's my bed i think i might do something nice for it today or at Christmas o wait i still need to buy a present for my bed maybe some new sheets. Well of course we don't we aren't psycho it's just a inanimate object. Great point but not every one has a bed that's soft and warm that feels secure some people sleep on the dirt beneath their very own, feet some people get their feelings of security taken away from them because of another humans evil deeds, but you know even Jesus gave up his bed (well okay we technically don't know if there are beds in heaven) to come to earth and on his first night on our planet he slept in a manger. A manger? Yay! That gross thing animals eat and drink out of filled with dirt some times, and it wasn't even his he had to borrow it, well at least Marry and Joseph did. He didn't even get to sleep in his own bed when he died. Nope we crucified him; and then you know what? He made beds obsolete after he rose to life and ascended into the sky in the hope of eternal life with perfect bodies, we can run and not grow weary, and yet we still don't do the one thing he asks us to do which is believe in him and he will forgive us after everything else we do against his will even though he created us. He is even willing to come into us and give us perfect love and joy even when we are all by our self's and have no one who loves us, and will stand by us forever. So you know what Jesus is kinda like our beds i mean we give him less credit and thankfulness for what he's done, and he isn't inanimate like our beds are. So you know what as you rest in your bed next time remember he loves you and will be their for you in all situations.

Great post Kris, I think I am going to be more thankful for the place that I have to lay my head down. I love and appreciate you!
